jabber-muc software package provides Multi User Conference component for the Jabber IM server, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install jabber-muc
jabber-muc is installed in your system.
Make ensure the jabber-muc package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep jabber-muc *
You will get with jabber-muc package name, version, architecture and description in a table
